See another one of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s multi-award winning musicals! Places are only available for a limited time. Get your seats immediately and indulge in what heaps of viewers have been calling a masterpiece since its very first performance on Broadway!

Show producer Lin-Manuel Miranda, fresh off the huge success from his last Broadway show, In the Heights, conceptualized Hamilton for a couple of years before it premiered in the Richard Rodgers Theatre in 2015. It was in this debut that he also played the title role. The entire show, including its brilliant cast and outstanding score received highly positive feedback from both critics and new fans alike.

Hamilton, as you might know, is a historical story created about one of the Countries Founding Fathers, but the show takes a fresh and modern approach, as seen in the music styles chosen and more so in its multicultural cast. Additionally, the 70th Tony Awards, where the show was awarded 11 out of 16 nominations, is a testament to its success. Hamilton’s initial cast included the likes of Philippa Soo, Leslie Odom Jr., and Jonathan Groff. Individually, the cast was already filled with both notable nominees and previous award winners, but their varied and memorable performances taken collectively brought the show to a whole new level. The production team, just as equally talented, won Tony Awards for Hamilton. Thomas Kail for Best Direction, Andy Blankenbuehler for Best Choreography, Alex Lacamoire for Best Orchestrations, Howell Binkley for Best Lighting Design of a Musical, Paul Tazewell for Best Costume Design of a Musical, and of course the man himself Lin-Manuel Miranda for Best Original Score and Best Book of a Musical, all stole the show at the 2016 Tony Awards. Above all and unsurprisingly, Hamilton also took home Best Musical for the year. The current cast and production crew in each new entertainment venue where Hamilton is put on brings the same grit and enthusiasm in their runs, with favorable reviews posted consistently.

Hamilton’s global rise to fame led to opening many doors all over the world for audiences to experience Hamilton. It has continued for the past 10 years to perform not just in America, but also over in the UK's West End and in various venues across Asia. Hamilton’s touring production will be heading to Charlotte throughout January (and on Saturday 11th January 2025) at Belk Theatre at Blumenthal Performing Arts Center, performing at yet another world-class stage with the top facilities and sound engineering that rivals even Broadway and West End theaters.
