The Musical debuted in 2015, Hamilton went on to earn 8 Drama Desk Awards, 11 Tony Awards from 18 nominations, and the Pulitzer Prize in 2016.
Miranda and the cast of the musical seek to tell the history of "America then, as told by America now." To do so, the production places ethnic minority actors as the American Founding Fathers and other high profile roles.
